Most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach (abdomen) pain, headache, stomach flu, gas, belching, feeling full, and heartburn. Once you get started on the medication, we will slowly raise your dosage every 4 weeks to decrease risk of these side effects.

Semaglutide mimics the effect of "feeling full" resulting in a decreased caloric intake. It will delay gastric emptying which can reduce appetite, improve control of eating, and reduce cravings.
